Graduated from Civil Engineering, METU in 1989. Received Masters degree from METU in 1992. Studied PhD at University of Texas in Austin between 1996-2000. Worked as a Senior Research Engineer at AIR in Boston between 2000-2002. Joined METU in 2002. Areas of interests are Earthquake Engineering, Performance-based Engineering, Seismic Risk and Vulnerability analysis.
